About
The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema started its education and training life by taking its first students in the 2001-2002 academic year. In the 2009-2010 academic year, the second education program was opened. Our department aims to provide an education that will enable its students to acquire the necessary and sufficient equipment for the profession with its theoretical and practical courses, workshop facilities and technical facilities for the field of communication and the media sector.
As the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, we aim to provide an education that will respond to the ever-changing and renewed comprehensive nature of the communication field and the media sector. In this context, our course curriculum was updated in 2020, taking into account the needs of the age.
Department courses are taught by competent faculty members. In addition to the theoretical courses in the field of communication, we try to ensure that our students have knowledge and skills in content production with courses such as film production, documentary, photography, television program production, video production, script writing, presenting and editing. Students of our department are given the opportunity to work practically in Fırat TV and Radio Fırat studios, which are affiliated to the Faculty. With the studio environment and technological equipment here, our students have the opportunity to transform the theoretical knowledge they acquire in the courses into practice. The cinema equipment in the Film Production Center, which was established with the FÜBAP project in 2017 within our faculty, also increases the application opportunities of our students.
There are four departments in our department: Department of Radio and Television, Department of Communication Sciences, Department of Photography and Graphics, and Department of Cinema.
