Recognition of Prior Learning
It is possible for students studying at Fırat University Faculty of Communication to be exempted from a course or courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students can be exempted from this course(s) if the name, credit and content of the course taken from another university is compatible with the content of the course given at FÜ and approved by the commission determined by the relevant faculty/institute directorate.
Program Profile
The education given in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is closely related to the principle of "critical and creative thinking". For this reason, the courses given in the department are based on a qualified education approach based on the fact that theory and practice are not separated from each other, but are a whole. It is aimed to educate students who have gained critical thinking skills, who have internalized professional ethical values and rules, who are talented and have an original point of view.

Students who graduate from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema; With their technical skills and professional knowledge, they have the opportunity to work in production / advertising and promotion companies, film production companies, local, national and international news and television channels, organizations such as RTÜK, TRT, Press Advertisement Agency, Presidency of Communication, communication vocational high schools, universities.
Admission and Registration Requirements
Student admission to this program is done through YÖK's central examination system called ÖSYS. Candidate students are placed in the relevant programs by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) according to the score and score type they receive from this exam after making their program preferences. Foreign students are admitted to this program based on internationally recognized exam results or secondary school graduation grades. Exchange students are accepted within the framework of bilateral agreements (Erasmus, etc.) signed between FÜ and the cooperating university. The language of instruction at our university is predominantly Turkish. The courses in this program are also in Turkish. Students who want to take the Foreign Language Exemption exam determined according to the academic calendar are exempted from the "foreign language course" if they are successful in this exam.
Qualification Requirements and Rules
Students must have passed all the courses they are obliged to take in this program and must not have a grade of FF (Fail). In this program, the student must provide a minimum of 240 ECTS/ECTS credits. In order for students to graduate, it is sufficient to have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Program Outcomes/Competencies
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Students who graduate from this department can apply to study in graduate programs. Students who wish can apply to the thesis master's and doctoral programs in Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences.
Measurement and Evaluation
Examination, measurement and evaluations are made according to the regulations determined by the University Senate. For each course, there is a midterm and a final exam. Exams are conducted in written form, however, if necessary, they can also be oral or practical. The evaluation of the course and all kinds of applications in terms of teaching is based on credits. The student's success grade in a course is determined by the relative evaluation system. How the relative evaluation system will be done is determined by the Senate. Exams are evaluated over 100 (one hundred) full points. The success grade of a course is determined by taking 40% of the midterm exam grade and 60% contribution of the general and make-up exam grade. In return for the score determined in this way, one of the success grades with the following coefficients is given by the instructor:

Graduation Requirements

Course Method
The courses are taught full-time through face-to-face and distance education.
