Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive a Bachelor Degree in Radio, Television and Cinema.

Recognition of Prior Learning
It is possible for students studying at Fırat University Faculty of Communication to be exempted from a course or courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students can be exempted from this course(s) if the name, credit and content of the course taken from another university is compatible with the content of the course given at FÜ and approved by the commission determined by the relevant faculty/institute directorate.

Program Profile
The education given in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is closely related to the principle of "critical and creative thinking". For this reason, the courses given in the department are based on a qualified education approach based on the fact that theory and practice are not separated from each other, but are a whole. It is aimed to educate students who have gained critical thinking skills, who have internalized professional ethical values and rules, who are talented and have an original point of view.

Employment Opportunities
Students who graduate from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema; With their technical skills and professional knowledge, they have the opportunity to work in production / advertising and promotion companies, film production companies, local, national and international news and television channels, organizations such as RTÜK, TRT, Press Advertisement Agency, Presidency of Communication, communication vocational high schools, universities.

Admission and Registration Requirements
Student admission to this program is done through YÖK's central examination system called ÖSYS. Candidate students are placed in the relevant programs by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) according to the score and score type they receive from this exam after making their program preferences. Foreign students are admitted to this program based on internationally recognized exam results or secondary school graduation grades. Exchange students are accepted within the framework of bilateral agreements (Erasmus, etc.) signed between FÜ and the cooperating university. The language of instruction at our university is predominantly Turkish. The courses in this program are also in Turkish. Students who want to take the Foreign Language Exemption exam determined according to the academic calendar are exempted from the "foreign language course" if they are successful in this exam.

Qualification Requirements and Rules
Students must have passed all the courses they are obliged to take in this program and must not have a grade of FF (Fail). In this program, the student must provide a minimum of 240 ECTS/ECTS credits. In order for students to graduate, it is sufficient to have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Program Outcomes/Competencies

•  To have theoretical, technical, technological knowledge about the field of Radio, Television and Cinema, to comprehend the terminology of the field,
•  To understand the technical, theoretical and historical perspectives related to the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema.
• To read written or visual ideas in a film or television production, to exhibit original works by acquiring creative ideas,
• To have the ability to divide cinematographic and dramatic narrative techniques into scenes,
• To be able to plan and implement film and television pre-production processes,
• To have the ability to design and execute a standard television studio and the processes of a live broadcast television program,
• To be able to produce film and television productions and manage film production,
• Designing, implementing and completing/finishing post-production stages related to the field of film and television,
• To be able to learn and apply computer programs used in the production and post-production stages of film and television at a basic level,
• To have a creative approach and the ability to solve problems, to carry out film and television productions; to be aware of carrying out production activities,
• To produce original film and television productions by closely following technological developments, to work in accordance with the unique characteristics of new media and to make original styles,
• To analyze the film text or script, television program from a technical, aesthetic and ideological point of view,
• Focusing on how film/media content, radio and television production is produced, in line with the requirements of general cultural knowledge processes, and realizing the necessary gains for oneself from the information that the media will convey,
• To be able to design interdisciplinary business processes, to carry out the applications in their field with the responsibility required by a team member and to have the ability to overcome the obligations they will take on,
• Being interested in jobs that will make you feel the awareness of lifelong learning is among the qualifications of this program.

Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Students who graduate from this department can apply to study in graduate programs. Students who wish can apply to the thesis master's and doctoral programs in Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences.

Measurement and Evaluation
Examination, measurement and evaluations are made according to the regulations determined by the University Senate. For each course, there is a midterm and a final exam. Exams are conducted in written form, however, if necessary, they can also be oral or practical. The evaluation of the course and all kinds of applications in terms of teaching is based on credits. The student's success grade in a course is determined by the relative evaluation system. How the relative evaluation system will be done is determined by the Senate. Exams are evaluated over 100 (one hundred) full points. The success grade of a course is determined by taking 40% of the midterm exam grade and 60% contribution of the general and make-up exam grade. In return for the score determined in this way, one of the success grades with the following coefficients is given by the instructor:

Graduation Requirements
